I’m a songwriter who came to this work the long way—by writing, abandoning songs, coming back to them, and learning how to stay with the practice over time.
What I’ve learned is that songwriting isn’t about talent or inspiration as much as it’s about clarity, structure, and returning to the work even when it feels quiet or unfinished.
